If you’re visiting Bangkok and hoping to pick up some Pokémon cards, you’re in luck! The city has a surprising number of spots, from dedicated card shops to bookstores tucked inside malls.

On our most recent trip, we spent some time actually digging into the local scene to see where collectors are buying. We tried to hit as many places as possible, and here’s what we found!

Anubis Cards & Craft

Anubis is one of the cheapest places to buy Pokémon cards in Bangkok. When we visited, the only set available was the Thai Mega Dream / Ascending Heroes set, and they were running a promo where buying two booster boxes (10 packs each) got you a random 1-in-4 promo card.

The owner was super friendly — we actually stopped by a week before the set released, and he told us we could message the shop on Instagram and he’d set boxes aside for us. It’s a newer shop but they also carry other TCGs like Lorcana.

One more thing: one of our favorite coffee spots in Bangkok, WWAPORTAL, is right below it. Perfect for grabbing something before heading up to browse.

Jakarade

Jakarade is inside Terminal 21 Asoke, one of the more popular malls in the area (the 5th floor food court is also worth knowing about, with some of the cheapest you’ll find in the city).

They had a solid selection of Japanese and English sealed products, plus a display case of slabbed cards and singles. Prices were noticeably above market though — a Phantasmal Flames ETB was priced around 6500 THB, which is pretty steep. Still worth a look if you’re already in Terminal 21, but unless you’re after something specific, prices are tough to justify.

Nut Card Shop & Mega Plaza Mall

Mega Plaza Mall is known locally as a hub for collectibles and hobby shops, and the 5th floor is where several TCG stores are located.

One of the most frequently mentioned shops online is Nut Card Shop, and Redditors often recommend checking this floor because there are multiple TCG stores clustered together.

We’ve seen two Japanese Pokémon starter boxes (240 cards each) for around 2000 THB total (~$62 USD), which is a pretty solid deal.

A Reddit user mentioned there’s also a second shop many people don’t realize is there that carries Thai packs and some interesting singles.

Mega Plaza is known locally as a hub for collectibles, and honestly it feels like it — the kind of place where you go in for one thing and end up wandering for an hour. The 5th floor is where the TCG stores are clustered, and it’s worth checking all of them while you’re up there. Nut Card Shop gets mentioned most online, but there’s a second shop on the same floor that a lot of people walk right past. We’ve seen two Japanese Pokémon starter boxes (240 cards each) going for around 2000 THB total (~$62 USD) here, which is a genuinely good deal.

BETREND (Na-Inn Bookstore)

We actually stumbled upon Pokémon cards inside BETREND, which is part of the Na-Inn bookstore chain. The store itself is packed with electronics, collectibles, and trending gadgets, so the cards were a bit of a surprise.

They had a really good selection of Thai Pokémon cards, including booster boxes, blister bundles, and individual packs. Packs ranged from 49 THB to 160 THB (~$1.50-5 USD) depending on the set, and when we visited they still had plenty of stock.

Toys “R” Us

The Toys “R” Us locations we checked only carried Thai Pokémon cards.

Mega Dream packs were priced at 160 THB (~$5 USD) per pack, and the centralwOrld location had a good amount of stock when we visited. They were also running a similar two-box promo to what Anubis had going.

Kinokuniya Book Stores

Kinokuniya mostly stocked Thai Pokémon cards when we visited. The Siam Paragon location had Mega Dream packs at 160 THB each, plus a training deck, and a decent selection of penny sleeves in different designs if you need supplies. Daiso is also worth a stop for penny sleeves (locations all over the city).

Don Quijote

If you’ve been to Japan, you’re probably familiar with the ___ of Don Quijote (jingles/overstiulation idk). We found out this trip there’s a Donki here too, and they have cards!, they were only carrying Thai Pokémon cards. They had individual packs and a few blister bundles with promo cards.

Pricing seemed pretty similar to other retail shops depending on the set.

B2S Stores

B2S is another solid option for Thai Pokémon cards while you’re exploring Bangkok malls. Individual packs were around 49 THB for 5-card packs, and we saw booster boxes priced around 1700 THB. A few Reddit users mentioned they’ve had good luck finding stock here too.

Asia Books

Asia Books also carried Thai Pokémon packs when we visited. Mega Dream packs were priced at 160 THB each, though the store we checked didn’t have many packs left.

They also had Team Rocket penny sleeves, which were a fun find!

BKK Brick Luxury

BKK Brick Luxury is located down the hall from Jakarade on the same floor in Terminal 21 Asoke, so it’s an easy stop if you’re already checking out the card shops there.

When we visited they didn’t have singles, just sealed Thai Pokémon packs, but they did have a wider variety of sets compared to some other retail spots. They even had the popular 151 set in stock at the time.

Prices were a bit higher than retail, but the shop itself is fun to browse. It’s a small store that also carries collectibles and trinkets like Sonny Angels, so it feels more like a mini hobby shop than a dedicated card store.

7-Eleven

We didn’t personally have luck finding Pokémon cards in 7-Eleven during our trip, but several Reddit users mentioned that they’ve seen individual Thai packs sold at retail price in some locations. So if you’re passing one anyway, it might be worth a quick look!

Final Thoughts

Bangkok ended up having way more places to find Pokémon cards than we expected. Dedicated card shops like Anubis are great if you’re looking for deals or sealed boxes, while malls and bookstores make it easy to grab packs while you’re exploring the city.

If you discover other great Pokémon card spots in Bangkok, let us know! We’re always looking to add more places to the list.
